(WBAP/KLIF) – The low cost carrier is planning to furlough about 330 pilots in January. On Thursday, a company spokesperson stated that the furloughs are part of the airlines effort to cut costs and shore up finances. Despite strong travel demand Spirit Airlines has been losing money, and is facing an uncertain future after the collapse of it’s merger deal with Jet Blue. This comes after Spirit already furloughed 186 pilots last month.
